Asynchronous Learning

Asynchronous Lessons are pre-recorded videos, of content determined by our adaptive curriculum, made by our teachers with inputs and suggestions from parents. The videos are uploaded regularly on the conferencing platform for children to view at their convenience.

Learning activities such as Clay Play, Quizzes, Puzzles and Crosswords, involving parents and children, are interwoven with the synchronous learning, to complement and reinforce teachings.

Following the previous lessons, children embark on pencilling down their lessons, through our Individual Time Program.

Parents, who are an imperative part of the teaching learning process, are taken into confidence and provided guidance in navigating the challenges of assisting their child’s online learning.

To support the smooth and effective functioning of parent-teacher teams, below are the steps taken by the school:

  • Active and regular communication with our parents.
  • Technical assistance from our resource team.
  • Timely distribution of weekly lesson schedules for better and accurate planning.
  • Established days for pre-recorded visual lessons.
  • Parent Orientation Program.
  • Thought-provoking webinars for parents.
  • Regular topical and interactive live-sessions.
  • Family Bonding Activities and sharing of inspiring weekly articles like, “Why Read to the Young Child?”, “Creative Thinking”, and “Importance of Listening and Communication”.
  • The newly installed digital library with books and resources for children and parents.

With this integrated approach, Presidency School hopes to deliver and inspire the best in children, making learning intellectually stimulating and enjoyable at the same time.

Preordained monthly events and activities

Preordained monthly events and activities for the whole family, help build important characteristics and morals in the younger generations. To mention a few:

  • The Little Chef event brings out the culinary expertise of our kindergarteners, teaching them the value of food.
  • Simple experiments are demonstrated to the children to try at home, to instigate a curiosity for how the world works, through the Explore, Engage and Experiment event.
  • Grandparents’ Day, that includes fun games for children and their grandparents, strengthens their love, respect and care for their elders
  • The ‘Read With Me’ programme involves an older child reading to the Kindergarteners, encouraging the importance of reading books, and stimulating their imagination.
  • As a culmination to all the concepts introduced, a virtual field trip is organized.

Synchronous Learning

known as HRP (Home Room Period), is the face of the virtual learning process. The children see their teachers, interact, play, sing and dance with them. Not only is it a time for bonding and learning, but an active engagement of the children through positive and specific encouragement, and repetition of concepts. They learn to detail their thoughts pictorially in their

Journals, reviewing their lessons in the process. Entertaining games like Scavenger Hunt and Simon Says help them to break the monotony of screen time. Children are individually encouraged to speak their mind freely, and present through Show & Tell activities.
